Adulting: 3 Ways, 1 Product

Can we get a little real for a second? Turns out, being an adult is actually a LOT harder than our parents let on! If you’re reading this right now, you’re probably at that awkward stage in your life where you’re SUPPOSED to be a serious, grown-up human being, but let’s be real — you still smirk when you hear someone day “duty” and that immature fart joke your friend sent you the other day was just as hilarious as it was when you were twelve years old and heard it for the first time. Welcome to the real world, you’re not alone

Dumb jokes aside, whether you like it or not, being an adult means that there are just some responsibilities you need to have and some basic things you need to know how to do — whether it’s paying full attention throughout that awful 3-hour work meeting, knowing the basics of how to do your laundry (you’re not STILL taking bi-monthly trips to get your mom to do it, are you?), or finessing the art of preparing the perfect steak (medium rare or nothing, thank you!). Today I teamed up with Clorox to go over 3 ways to “adult” with their popular bleaching and cleaning products!

How To Keep Your Whites White

Your white towels should stay fluffy, soft and absorbent, but they can definitely be a pain to keep in tip top condition! As weird as it may sound, fabric softeners are actually NOT good for your towels because they reduce the towel’s ability to absorb moisture… rendering them pretty ineffective after just a couple washes! Instead of using fabric softeners, try washing your white towels in hot water after every third or fourth use, and add a ½ cup of Clorox® Regular-Bleach to the wash for that extra boost of cleansing.

How To Make Your Flowers Last

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and while an instagrammed photo of your flowers may last forever, your real-life bouquet most certainly won’t — sorry to bust your bubble already!  However, if you’re looking to make your floral arrangements last a little longer this year, did you know that you could use bleach to do just that?

Simply mix in a ¼ teaspoon of Clorox® Regular-Bleach with 1 quart of cold water in your flower vase and place your flowers in it! The bleach will keep the water cleaner for longer by keeping the mold away so that your blooms will thrive for a much longer time

How To Stay Stain-Free On The Go

Your dinner might be tasty, but the last thing you’re trying to do is share it with your clothes — there is nothing worse than an accidental case of butter fingers in the middle of a meal, and having your food land on your favorite white shirt  Just like that, your outdoor coat becomes part of your indoor #OOTD because it’s the only thing that’ll cover up that messy splotch on your clothes!

Having a Clorox® Bleach Pen Gel handy in your purse when you’re on the go is perfect for moments like these (see how to use it HERE). With it’s double-sided tip, the precision stain fighter fixes both small and large stains before they set, prolonging the life of your favorite white shirt and keeping your outfit looking crisp and clean from the beginning until the end of the day… just like the real adult that you are
