I know your inner Miranda Priestly is is probably rolling its eyes right now, but there’s a reason florals and Springtime go together, and I say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with putting a personal spin on such a classic combination! Atlanta’s been getting tons of rain all month, but May’s just around the corner, and you know what they say about April showers, don’t ya? (Wait till you guys see the peonies I planted — they’re almost in full bloom and I’m so excited to have my very own homegrown flowers!)

Anyway, on a different note — I generally tend to shy away from peplum silhouettes, since the last thing I need is the illusion of extra inches, well… ANYWHERE — but I think this floral peplum top from Urban Outfitters puts an interesting spin on what our perception of the silhouette has come to be, and I’m obsessed with the unique shape it brings to the outfit when paired with a simple skinny jean. Groundbreaking, indeed.
