Jeffrey Fashion Cares
2016 Preview

shopping8 years ago

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to pop into the Phipps Plaza Jeffrey store to get a sneak peek of the amazing fashion pieces they’ll be sending down the runway at this year’s Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2016 event — a reception, live auction and runway show event, featuring haute couture NYC, London, Paris and Milan to raise money for Susan G. Komen and the Atlanta AIDS Fund. With less than a week away to the August 29th event, I’m super excited to be attending my first fashion show of the season, and even more so, knowing that it’s all being done for a great cause!

I met with the Jeffrey Atlanta store manager, Don Purcell, to chat about the biggest Fall trends that are in line to be showcased at the event: Monochromatic, over-sized silhouettes are still ruling the streets and runways this season, with some of the top looks coming from Vetements, Marques Almeida, Céline and Brandon Maxwell. Rich colors and rich fabrics are also on-trend, with velvet making a major comeback right in time for the cooler weather.

You can purchase your Jeffrey Fashion Cares ticket here, or follow along on Snapchat (cocobassey) where I’ll be sharing moments next week’s event — see you there!
