Hey guys! I know it’s been pretty quiet on my end lately, but usually means that I’m up to something good… right? Although if you ask my mom, she would probably say the opposite — but that’s a story for another time

As you know from Instagram, over the past few days I've been zipping around Atlanta in the 2016 Toyota Prius, and today I'm sharing my experience with you

After a long Memorial Day weekend spent up in Washington D.C. with one of my oldest friends and catching up on work all week, I’m really glad to finally feel like I’m back in the swing of things! Now back to business as usual with today’s post…

As you know from Instagram, over the past few days I’ve been zipping around Atlanta in the 2016 Toyota Prius, and today I’m sharing my experience with you! Little disclaimer before we get started: I’m not an auto aficionado and I’m comically dense when it comes to all thing car-related… but that’s one of my favorite things about the Prius — you don’t have to be a car geek to appreciate all the technology and money-saving features that the car has!

The 2016 Prius is surprisingly spacious on the inside, and has a bunch of other features I absolutely fell in love with: the quietest engine I’ve EVER seen, a responsive infotainment touchscreen & audio assistance system, and heated car seats… which may not come in handy at this time of year, but I’d kill for them in the winter!

So over the weekend, I hopped into my Prius, turned up the volume on ANTI (because what the hell else is anyone listening to right now?) and hit to road to head some of my favorite spots around the city of Atlanta — Read on to discover where I went to! [/one_half_last]

My current favorite shopping spot in the city (and where I picked up this gorgeous dress that I’m wearing!) is The Shops Buckhead Atlanta, and it’s where a lot of the newest stores call home: COS, NARS, INTERMIX and Planet Blue to name a few. In addition to that, ALL of the restaurants offer patio dining, so there’s nowhere else you’d need to think of venturing to to wind down with a drink and a view after a full day of retail therapy.

If you know me at all, you know that I’m in West Midtown at least once a week and one of my favorite places to make a stop is at Jeni’s Ice Cream for a cool treat! Trust me when I say this this is BEST ice cream you’ll ever have in your life — and with flavors rotating in and out on a weekly basis, there’s always something new to try! One of my all-time favorite flavors was last year’s Sun-Popped Corn, and I’m seriously holding out for it’s return sometime soon… *hint, hint if you’re reading this from Jeni’s HQ!

This was actually my first time at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and I’m so glad I finally ticked that off my ATL bucketlist! A couple hours surrounded by beautiful flowers, trees and landscpaing felt like a nice retreat back to nature… even though we were still right in the city center.

It’s no secret that when it comes to brunch, no one does it better than a French restaurant! I’ve slowly, but surely been eating my way through all of the French Bistros that Atlanta has to offer, but this recent culinary discovery has quickly made it’s way up the ranks to one of my favorite places to grab a bite on a weekend morning. Bread & Butterfly is tucked away in Inman Park, and with the cutest interior I’ve ever seen in the city paired with a small, but AMAZING menu to choose from, it’s a dining experience that’ll appeal to every single one of your senses. I highly recommend the smoked trout if you’re up for a good brunch meal.

Jackson Street Bridge is known to be the best spot in the city to capture the Atlanta skyline, and although I’ve driven over it countless times before, I’ve never actually taken the time to make a pitstop and appreciate it in all it’s goodness. Of course the best shots you’ll take are at sunrise and sunset, but as you can see, the view in the middle of the day ain’t too shabby either

As you know from Instagram, over the past few days I've been zipping around Atlanta in the 2016 Toyota Prius, and today I'm sharing my experience with you
I love the juxtaposition of the all of trees against the modern skyscrapers and highways… as one of America’s greenest cities, this view couldn’t capture the essence of Atlanta in a better way.

So there we have it, a full weekend day in my 2016 Toyota Prius! What are some of your favorite weekend activities to do? And on a related note, Happy Friday!!![/one_half_last]
