Last month, I got an e-mail from VH1, inviting me to partner with the Save The Music Foundation for an upcoming event in Atlanta. NBD, right?
The Musically Mastered Menu event series that’s currently making its way through major cities around the country brings great music together with fine dining, by pairing an intimate set with local culinary talent. As the event’s host, I partnered with the VH1 team to promote the event, curate the interior decor with an Atlanta twist, and share the event with you!
With the dinner menu prepared by Chef Jennifer Booker and topped off with a Southern style cake walk, as well as a beautiful musical set put on by Hailey Knox, the Musically Mastered Menu event was definitely one to remember. I worked with my friends at Bloomingdales to pull this gorgeous Sandro dress for the perfect dinnertime / special event look… although honestly, if I had an excuse to wear it every day, I most definitely would Proceeds from ticket sales went to the VH1 Save The Music Foundation’s mission of supporting and funding music education for children in schools across the country.
Dinner Déjà Vu: Southern Tonight, French Tomorrow
If you love the decadence of southern cuisine, as well as the intricacies of French fine dining… then Chef Jennifer Booker’s latest cookbook flair is right up your alley.
The VH1 event’s menu was based off of some of Chef Jennifer Booker’s favorite recipes, from deviled eggs as an amuse bouche to ratatouille and chicken for the main entree.
Hailey Knox: A Little Awkward
I LOVED Hailey’s acoustic set! It was quirky, fun and creative, and I always love catching live music in intimate settings like what VH1 set up for us. I especially loved the covers that she peppered throughout her set, effortlessly making her way through different musical genres, but keeping to her own musical style.
Check out Hailey’s latest EP, “A Little Awkward” to give her a listen!
