When it comes to skin care, we see so much information, products and tips on how to improve skin dryness and dehydration, it’s easy to become overwhelmed with all of the advice. Today, in partnership with QVC, I’m sharing my top three tips for great ways to help replenish moisture to your skin!

Track Your Water Intake

When your skin lacks water, the most obvious cure to fixing the issue is upping your water intake! Sometimes, however, your day can get super busy and it’s tough to remember to take a break and grab a glass of water when you’re on the go.

Consult your doctor or health care professional to see how many ounces of water you should be drinking every day. To help keep me on track, I use the same bottle or glass all day. When I have filled my water bottle up 4 times in one day that means I have met my recommended amount!

Choose Water-Rich Foods

Another great way to stay hydrated, when you don’t have a bottle of water handy, is to make conscious food choices that up your water levels too. Water-rich foods like watermelon, tomatoes and oranges are great go-tos.

You can also swap out your side of fries for a salad or soup, to opt for food that’s not only healthier but hydration-rich as well!

Look for Creams Containing Hydrating Ingredients

When your body is running low on water, increasing your water intake typically does the trick, but sometimes that doesn’t completely replenish the moisture to your skin and you need a quick fix, fast. Choosing the right skin cream is a good way to solve the problem, and by doing both, you’re taking care of your skin from both ends.

Hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid are one of the things to look for in your skin creams; it acts as a humectant, holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water and even attracting moisture from the air! One of my favorite hydrating skin creams is Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream, available at QVC, because the product contains 30% hyaluronic acid and it’s such a great way to get that instant boost of skin hydration that I need!
