Reflecting on My 2018 Travel Experiences as a Blogger

Can you guys believe how quickly time has flown by? We’re basically in the final month of 2018 already! RIGHT before that though, I’m posting my last look from my Fall trip to Paris, along with a fun, short video of snapshot highlights from my trip.

This year has brought quite a number of amazing travel opportunities my way, and it’s something I’m incredibly grateful for! However, each trip has also been a learning experience — one of the biggest challenges of travel blogging is figuring out how to balance the “work” aspects of photo-shooting and content creation, with my penchant for living in the moment, turning my phone off and appreciating where I am without thinking about whether it’s “on-brand” for Millennielle. I know that travel photos are always so fun to scroll through on Instagram, but nothing beats the IRL experience… and I want to put more time into appreciating that (and sharing it with you!) in 2019.

That said, if there’s one thing I’m coming away with this year, it’s having built a solid team of people I can depend on when traveling and I’m so grateful for that! I’ve done the whole thing of going on work trips with friends and/or other bloggers… but nothing beats working with professionals who fully understand my vision and are just as dedicated to building Millennielle as I am. Once upon a time, I never understood bloggers who had “teams”… but you know what? When you’re running a business, you really can’t do everything yourself, and finding people that you can work with is such an invaluable thing that I definitely don’t take for granted. So here’s to an even bigger and better things in 2019!
