Another Shirtdress

I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably say it (and wear it) again and again: I’m a HUGE fan of the deconstructed shirtdress! If there’s any way that you can take a regular white button-down and remix it into something creative, this girl will wear it. The dress I’m wearing today is no exception — the open “wrap skirt” detailing (that’s actually been sewn right into the dress!) makes this Derek Lam creation an absolute favorite of mine already.
Switching lanes a little bit, this weekend is my birthday, and for the first time ever, I’ll be spending it in Atlanta! Lots of my closest friends live out of town, so I’ve gotten so used to booking a trip for my birthday, that it feels a little weird not doing so this year… but I think I’m making the right decision this time around. I’m trying to cut down on the frequency of my short weekend trips to make more time (and save more money) for bigger trips later this year. Balancing a full-time job with my blog keeps me busy enough, without having to deal with airport craziness just about every other month! So what’s on my birthday itinerary this year? Well, much-needed R&R and a full spa day for one! Stay tuned for a birthday post later this week… you don’t want to miss it!
