Holiday Remix: 3 Looks To Nail This Season

When it comes to this time of the year, there are 3 types of outfits that you’re likely to have on heavy rotation as you navigate your holiday parties, family gatherings and cold weather adventures: You need an eye-catcher for NYE and nights out with the girls, a conservative get-up that’ll make your grandma proud at your family dinner parties, and of course you need simple snuggly layers that will work for every day in between. Today, I’m partnering with Shoe Carnival to nail each of these winter looks, featuring their collection of amazing budget-friendly footwear that will keep you looking fashionable all season long, without breaking the bank!

Look 1: Casual Sequins

If there is an appropriate time of the year to wear sequins, December is definitely it… and if you hate the idea of overdoing the glitz, go for a #HolidayRemix and dress it down with a pair of boyfriend jeans and moto jacket – but not TOO far down! A pair of heeled sandals will tie everything in all together, et voilà, your sequins just went from excessive gaudiness to everyday cool. I love this look best because I think that it’s a good reflection of my own personal style… with a hint of holiday glamour. This outfit might be making a comeback when midnight strikes on December 31st!

Look 2: Monochrome Camel

Camel is one of my favorite colors when it comes to cold weather wear, because to me, it’s the one color that takes any outfit to the next level and makes it look a lot more luxe and expensive than it is! Monochrome looks are definitely still having a moment right now, so I combined these two trends to make for the perfect winter outfit that you can wear for a day out holiday shopping, errand running or grabbing lunch. Finished with gold accents and the most comfortable shearling boots, you’re sure to stay warm and comfortable all day long!

Look 3: Holiday Party

Finally, the finishing look to complete your winter wardrobe: a dressed-up, feminine #HolidayRemix look that will take you from your holiday office party to Christmas dinner with the parents. Mary Jane pumps are the perfect pair of shoes for occasions like these, and I love these ones in burgundy from Circus by Sam Edelman! To really keep the spotlight of the outfit on the shoes, I kept everything else relatively neutral – rolling out a simple turtleneck and cocoon coat in an off-white color palette.
