First outfit post of 2016, and we’re kicking things off with a major statement piece! Following my recent post on winter essentials, textured fabrics are still playing it front and center this season… and this Jocelyn feather jacket is perfect way to stay right on trend. The cropped length and roomy fit makes it a great addition to any outfit,  and this mauve color (more on that later… I’ve recently become OBSESSED with mauve!) is a great neutral alternative to the standard whites, blacks, nudes and greys.

Ok… switching gears a little bit: one of my biggest resolutions this year is to step a little further outside my comfort zone and be fearless. This will hopefully translate across every area of my life, but it’s primarily about being more proactive about working towards becoming the best version of myself. I guess you can say that my main goal this year is to puff myself a little bit (….get it? that was a pun… puffing up… with the feather jacket, and then there’s that thing birds do…. no? alright, I’ll see myself out

).

Sure it’s a little cliché to talk about making a fresh start in January, but now is as good a time as any, right? I’ve always been more of a listener than a talker, and I’m not used to talking about myself and my personal affairs – especially online – but I hope that you guys can stick with me to follow my journey this year!
