Mandarin Oriental Staycation

Last month, I was invited for a 5-star staycation experience at the Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta… and it was the perfect, relaxing weekend that I had been dreaming of all year. From breakfast in bed to an amazing hour-long massage at the spa — I felt like I never wanted to leave! Some of the highlights of my stay:

Location: Mandarin Oriental is located right in the heart of Buckhead, along Peachtree Road — a stone throw away from Atlanta’s shopping Mecca, Lenox Mall. If that’s not an ideal place to be, then I don’t know what is! Whenever we weren’t relaxing in the hotel, we ventured out to do some shopping, catch a movie at Phipps Plaza and/or explore the amazing dining options around the neighborhood.
Spa & Wellness: During my stay, I had my first ever upscale spa experience! I was a little nervous as I didn’t know what to expect, but my masseuse was super professional… and she probably did her job a little TOO well — I fell asleep halfway through! How’s that for relaxation?

I did the Peaches & Cream treatment, which is a full body massage that aims at restoring moisture to your skin, while taking away muscle tension and stress. I’m already ready to do this again sometime soon!

English Gardens: The Mandarin Oriental has a quiet garden area out back, which is surprisingly quiet and serene… given the hotel’s location right along one of Atlanta’s busiest main roads. This is where I took some photos in this Nili Lotan dress that I have been dying to get for months. I love the deep green color and how simple it is — it might just be my NYE dress this year… if I can finally figure out exactly what I’ll be doing for it!
Dining: To be honest, I didn’t dine at the Mandarin Oriental’s Café & Bar during my staycation weekend, but I did take my parents there a few months prior while they were visiting from Nigeria. The dining room overlooks the English Garden, and the beautiful ambiance and interior makes it the perfect place to go for a special occasion, family dinner or date night.

A special thank you to Drive Shop USA, for providing me with the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage for the weekend — it was the perfect little way to get around the city, and I loved its fuel efficiency, bluetooth capability and inbuilt navigation… the cherry on top of what was already a fantastic weekend!
