Chic Rainy Day Pieces You'll Actually Want To Wear

We don’t get a lot of snow during the winter time in Atlanta, but one thing we have been getting a lot lately is rain — a.k.a. the quickest route to a frizzy, bad hair day and ruined outfit. Our immediate natural inclination is to cancel everything at the first sight of grey skies and bad weather… fashion included, because who wants to ruin their favorite sweater by getting it caught in the rain? It can definitely be tough to figure out what to wear in rainy weather, but that doesn’t always have to be the case!

I, for one, am always very picky about the cold and rainy weather pieces that I add to my wardrobe because I find that a lot of them tend to look super unflattering — too bulky, odd fits and sometimes even strange colors that I wouldn’t be caught dead in. Cue an email from Stutterheim popping into my inbox a couple weeks ago to introduce me to their brand… I immediately fell in love with the minimal, Scandinavian style of their durable rain coats. Even though the brand’s tagline is “Swedish melancholy at its driest” I’m definitely a happy girl in my Stutterheim jacket!

My rain coat comes in a huge selection of colors, but something about the khaki green colorway had my name all over it! The unexpected A-line cut puts a feminine spin on the classic rain coat, so you're always stepping out in style.

Speaking of flattering cold weather style, I have to admit that up until a few weeks ago, I hadn’t owned a legitimate pair of winter boots in years… also because I hated everything that was available out there, until I stumbled across the perfect pair of boots that are heavy duty, with lots of sole grip to make my way through wet and icy situations… and of course, are super comfortable to wear all day!

Who knew that a couple of extra inches on the heel was all it took to make combat boots look more chic for every day wear?

It’s finally official: come rain or shine, this girl’s wardrobe is fully prepped and ready!
