New York Fashion Week is all about the fashion… but let’s be honest, when it comes to style, clothes are only the beginning. A great look is only as good as its accessories, and one of my favorite ways to make an outfit pop is with all of the finishing touches: hair, makeup… and a great smile.
Because my week in New York has been SUPER busy, I needed a quick beauty routine that got me in and out the door in record time so that I could make it to all of my shows, events and meetings… so I knew that a signature lip was going to be my look of the season. A fashion-forward outfit can only topped off with the best in beauty, so it’s no surprise that I turned to the iconic Tom Ford beauty line from Bloomingdales for my signature NYFW look. I started with the lip exfoliator for a smooth application, picked a lip liner that matched my lipstick… and then topped it all off with a fabulous lip color.
The new Tom Ford Satin Matte Lip collection features colors that pop and last all day while keeping my lips moisturized and totally and soft… even with its matte finish. I picked up my lip colors in the signature red La Woman and electric pink Pussy Power, and I basically went between either color all week! They went with all of my outfits 🙂
Because it was so rainy in New York all week, I kept the rest of my beauty routine super simple, sometimes even skipping foundation and eyeliner so that my makeup wouldn’t run… and I have to say that even with a bare face, my Tom Ford Satin Matte Lip colors made me look just as polished as I do any other day.
