The 7 Things You Need for Coachella This Year

Festival season is officially right around the corner, and with Coachella being just a couple weeks away, I can’t wait to have another great weekend in Palm Springs this year! Being the chronic procrastinator that I am, I’m still in the process of pulling music festival looks for my trip… so if you’re right in the same boat as I am, here’s your one-stop-shop checklist of everything you’ll definitely be needing to make this year’s festival season a very fashionable one  See you in the desert!

1. Denim Shorts

If there’s one item of clothing you absolutely need to pack to a music festival, it’s the perfect pair of denim cut-offs. The right pair of shorts should be comfortable to wear, durable enough to withstand a full day of outdoor activities, and ventilated enough to keep your body heat out! One Teaspoon makes some of my favorite denim shorts.

2. Floral Dresses & Skirts

I’m never not looking for a good excuse to wear a sundress, and Coachella lends itself to serving as a perfect backdrop to a great boho-style dress or skirt. My go-to places to shop them are REVOLVE and Reformation; of course Realisation Par makes some amazing ones too!

3. Vintage Style T-Shirts

I guess the musical equivalent of wearing your heart on your sleeve is wearing your favorite rock band on your t-shirt… and now you don’t need to break the bank to find the perfect vintage graphic t-shirt for Coachella.

4. Statement Jewelry

When it comes to jewelry and accessories during festival season, more is more! I love playing around with vintage-inspired pieces, mixed metals and layered necklaces.

5. Pool-Party Swimsuit

As you probably already know, the hotel parties are the place to be during the day, and they’re a great place to lounge poolside and relax before heading to the festival grounds when the sun goes down. I’m definitely going to be packing a bikini this year – I totally forgot to bring one last time!

6. Body Bling

Flash tattoos may be *so 2014*, but body jewelry is definitely in! I love Body Bauble‘s fun designs — they’re super affordable, and a great way to accessorize your festival look… as long as it’s done in a tasteful way.

7. Comfortable Footwear

Last year, I partnered with Teva during festival season… and I couldn’t be happier about having been introduced to the brand. Their flatforms are SUPER comfortable and make for great all-day shoes, especially when you’re spending most of the day on your feet!
